Research teams from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) visited Thailand’s first pilot hydrogen fueling station for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) in Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. This project has been collaborated between PTT, OR, TOYOTA, and BIG that extended from the “Hydrogen Utilization in FCEV Demonstration Project”.
From the drivers’ feedback, hydrogen refueled in a fuel cell electric vehicle (Toyota Mirai) has a maximum capacity of 5.6 kilograms of hydrogen and at one kilogram of hydrogen, it allows the vehicle to drive approximately 100 kilometers. Currently, the service also includes transporting passengers and tourists from U-Tapao Airport to various cities.
